Systems Theory, ControlRésumé : Advanced Topics in Control Systems Theory contains selected contributions written by lecturers at the second (annual) Formation d?Automatique de Paris (FAP) (Graduate Control School in Paris). It is addressed to graduate students and researchers in control theory with topics touching on a variety of areas of interest to the control community such as cascaded systems, flatness, optimal control, and Hamiltonian and infinite-dimensional systems. The reader is provided with a well-integrated synthesis of the latest thinking in these subjects without the need for an exhaustive literature review. The internationally known contributors to this volume represent many of the most reputable control centers in Europe.
Advanced Topics in Control Systems Theory can be used to support either a one-term general advanced course on nonlinear control theory, devoting a few lectures to each chapter, or for more focused and intensive courses at graduate level. The book?s concise but pedagogical manner will give an ideal start to researchers wishing to broaden their knowledge in aspects of modern control theory outside their own expertise.Note de contenu : Table des matières
Nonlinear Adaptive Stabilization via System Immersion: Control Design and Applications. -Cascaded Nonlinear Time-varying Systems: Analysis and Design. -Control of Mechanical Systems from Aerospace Engineering. -Compositional Modelling of Distributed-parameter Systems. -Algebraic Analysis of Control Systems Defined by Partial Differential Equations. -Structural Properties of Discrete and Continuous Linear Time-varying Systems: A Unified Approach.Advanced topics In control systems theory : Lecture notes from FAP 2004 [document électronique] / Françoise Lamnabhi-Lagarrigue, Autre ; Lorfa ,Antonio, Autre . - Springer, 2005. - (Lecture notes in control and information sciences) .

Systems theoryIndex. décimale : 681.51 Systemes de régulation automatique en général.caractéristiques techniques de la cybernétique Résumé : Each year, the International Conference on Cooperative Control and Optimization (CCO) brings together top researchers from around the world.
They present papers on all the latest concepts, theories and advances in the fields of autonomous agents, cooperative systems, control theory, and optimization.
The contents of this hugely important volume, which adds much to the debate on the subject, are culled from papers presented at the Seventh Annual International Conference on Cooperative Control and Optimization, held in Gainesville, Florida, in January 2007.
Yet why is the subject so important? Put simply, it’s because it touches on so many areas.
Across the globe, the past several years have seen a tremendous increase in the role of cooperative autonomous systems. The field of cooperative control and optimization has established itself as a part of many different scientific disciplines.
These include those related to military science, biology, and communications – to name but three.
That doesn’t mean the subject is easy, though. Cooperating systems have continued to be extremely difficult to model, analyze, and solve.
This is what makes this volume required reading for those working in the area who want inspiration in their research, or who want to stay abreast of current trends.Advances in cooperative control and optimization : proceedings of the 7th International conference on cooperative control and optimization [document électronique] / Pardalos, Panos M., Auteur ; Grundel, Don, Auteur . - Springer, 2007. - (Engineering) .

Automation Résumé :
Fractional control techniques provide an effective way to control dynamic behaviours, using fractional differential equations. This can include the control of fractional plants, the control of a plant using a fractional controller, or the control of a plant so that the controlled system will have a fractional behaviour to achieve a performance that would otherwise be hard to come by.
An Introduction to Fractional Control outlines the theory, techniques and applications of fractional control. The theoretical background covers fractional calculus with real, complex and variable orders, fractional transfer functions, fractional identification and pseudo-state-space representations, while the control systems explored include: fractional lead control, fractional lag control, first, second and third generation Crone control, fractional PID, PI and PD control, fractional sliding mode control, logarithmic phase Crone control fractional reset control, fractional H2 and H∞ control, fractional predictive control, trajectory planning, fractional time-varying control.
Each chapter contains solved examples, where the subject addressed is either expanded or applied to concrete cases, and references for further reading. Common definitions and proofs are included, along with a bibliography, and a discussion of how MATLAB can be used to assist in the design and implementation of fractional control.Note de contenu : Summary :

However, because it is fundamentally model free, conventional FLC suffers from a lack of tools for systematic stability analysis and controller design. To address this problem, many model-based fuzzy control approaches have been developed, with the fuzzy dynamic model or the Takagi and Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model-based approaches receiving the greatest attention. "Analysis and Synthesis of Fuzzy Control Systems: A Model-Based Approach" offers a unique reference devoted to the systematic analysis and synthesis of model-based fuzzy control systems. After giving a brief review of the varieties of FLC, including the T-S fuzzy model-based control, it fully explains the fundamental concepts of fuzzy sets, fuzzy logic, and fuzzy systems. This enables the book to be self-contained and provides a basis for later chapters, which cover: T-S fuzzy modeling and identification via nonlinear models or data; stability analysis of T-S fuzzy systems; stabilization controller synthesis as well as robust Haeu and observer and output feedback controller synthesis; robust controller synthesis of uncertain T-S fuzzy systems; Time-delay T-S fuzzy systems; Fuzzy model predictive control; Robust fuzzy filtering; and, Adaptive control of T-S fuzzy systems. A reference for scientists and engineers in systems and control, the book also serves the needs of graduate students exploring fuzzy logic control. It readily demonstrates that conventional control technology and fuzzy logic control can be elegantly combined and further developed so that disadvantages of conventional FLC can be avoided and the horizon of conventional control technology greatly extended. Many chapters feature application simulation examples and practical numerical examples based on MATLAB. Note de contenu :

Automation Résumé : A review of representative research reported in journal articles in the field of structural system identification published in journals since 1995 is presented. The paper is divided into five sections based on the general approach used: conventional model-based, biologically-inspired, signal processing-based, chaos theory, and multi-paradigm approaches. Most of the published papers deal with small and academic problems. System identification of large real-life structures with nonlinear behavior subjected to unknown dynamic loading such as strong ground motions is challenging. It is believed a multi-paradigm approach is the most effective strategy for system identification of large structures subjected to dynamic loading.
