This book presents an integrated introduction to the basic theories of finite element analysis (FEA) and the use of ANSYS workbench in the modeling and simulation of engineering problems. It is intendes for undergraduate students in engineering and for engineers who have no previous experience with the FEA and wish to learn the basic theory and software usage from a signale volume. The book covers the basic consepts in the FEA using simple mechanics problems as examples, and leads to discussions and applications of the one-dimensional bar and beam elements, two-dimensional plane stress and plane strain elemnts, plate and shell elements, and three-dimensional solid elements in the analyses of structural stresses, vibrations and dynamics, thermal responses, fluid flows, optimizations, and failures.Note de contenu : Summary :
1. Introduction.
2. Bars and trusses.
3. Beams and frames.
4. Two-dimensional elasticity.
5. Modeling and solution techniques.
6. Plate and shell analyses.
7. Three-dimensional elasticity.
8. Structural vibration and dynamics.
9. Thermal analysis.
10. Introduction to fluid analysis.
11. Design optimization.
