Titre : Oil field chemicals Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Karl Fink, Johannes, Auteur Editeur : Gulf Professional Publishing Année de publication : 2003 Importance : X-495 p. Format : 24 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-0-7506-7703-5 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : genie chimique gaz fluid Index. décimale : 66.09 Réactions chimiques. Procédés chimiques et biochimiques particuliers Résumé : Oil field chemicals are gaining increasing importance, as the resources of crude oil are decreasing. An increasing demand of more sophisticated methods in the exploitation of the natural resources emerges for this reason. This book reviews the progress in the area of oil field chemicals and additives of the last decade from a rather chemical view. The material presented is a compilation from the literature by screening critically approximately 20,000 references. The text is ordered according to applications, just in the way how the jobs are emerging in practice. It starts with drilling, goes to productions and ends with oil spill. Several chemicals are used in multiple disciplines, and to those separate chapters are devoted. Two index registers are available, an index of chemical substances and a general index. Note de contenu : CONTENTS
*Chap 1: Drilling Muds
*Chap 2: Fluid Loss Additives
*Chap 3: Clay Stabilization
*Chap 4: Bit Lubricants
*Chap 5: Bacteria Control
*Chap 6: Corrosion Inhibitors
*Chap 7: Scale Inhibitors
*Chap 8: Gelling Agents
*Chap 9: Filter-Cake Removal

Titre : Enhanced oil recovery : field planning and development strategies Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Vladimir Alvarado, Auteur ; Eduardo Manrique, Auteur Editeur : Gulf Professional Publishing Année de publication : 2010 Importance : XV, 192 p. Présentation : ill. Format : 23 cm. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-1-85617-855-6 Note générale : Bibliogr. - Index Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Enhanced oil recovery
Mining engineeringIndex. décimale : 665.62 Traitement du pétrole brut et du gaz naturel pour leur conditionnement, leur conversion et leur raffinage.
Résumé :
Enhanced-Oil Recovery (EOR) evaluations focused on asset acquisition or rejuvenation involve a combination of complex decisions, using different data sources. EOR projects have been traditionally associated with high CAPEX and OPEX, as well as high financial risk, which tend to limit the number of EOR projects launched. In this book, the authors propose workflows for EOR evaluations that account for different volumes and quality of information. This flexible workflow has been successfully applied to oil property evaluations and EOR feasibility studies in many oil reservoirs. The methodology associated with the workflow relies on traditional (look-up tables, XY correlations, etc.) and more advanced (data mining for analog reservoir search and geology indicators) screening methods, emphasizing identification of analogues to support decision making. The screening phase is combined with analytical or simplified numerical simulations to estimate full-field performance by using reservoir data-driven segmentation procedures. Case Studies form Asia, Canada, Mexico, South America and the United States Assets evaluated include reservoir types ranging from oil sands to condensate reservoirs. Different stages of development and information availability are discussed.Note de contenu : Summary :
1. Reservoir development plans
2. Enchanced oil recovery concepts
3. Simulations and similation options
4. Screening methods
5. Evaluating soft issues
6. Economic considerations and framing
7. Methodology
