Résumé : In recent years researchers synthesized metal organic frameworks (MOFs) and their hybrid derivatives using different methods. The as-synthesized hybrid MOFs possess remarkable properties owing to their increased surface area, porosity, and diversified structural features, due to which they find applications in the field of optoelectronics, photo electronics, supercapacitors, photoluminescent materials, photonics, etc. MOFs formed by central metal atoms (Cu, Ni, Co, Mn, etc.) surrounded by ligands, the hybridization including doping of nanomaterials (inorganic, organic, or both), and their various properties were investigated. A variety of works have been dedicated to enhancing the optical
properties, luminescence, photoluminescence, energy storage, and dielectric properties by modification of the central metal atoms, change in the structure and size of the ligands, doping appropriate nanomaterials, etc. The unique physical and chemical structural properties of the hybrid MOFs lead to the fabrication of MOFs for various applications including optoelectronics, photo electronics, energy storage for detection of pollutants, biosensors, electrochemical sensors,
supercapacitors, and photo electronics.
Since various topics were covered in MOFs in terms of change in size and shape, morphology, modifications, hybrid dopants, high surface area, and porosity, there is a greater opportunity to modify their surface properties and to tailor unique, stable hybrid MOFs for specific applications. This collection comprises contributions from active scientists involved in the areas of hybrid MOFs with applications focused on photoluminescence, dielectrics, and supercapacitors. It also includes works on the synthesis of hybrid MOFs, nanocomposites, reviews on photoluminescence properties of MOFs, challenges and opportunities for MOFs future, as well as bi-functional applications, frequency and temperature-dependent dielectric materials, supercapacitive materials, heterogeneous catalytic and luminescent materials.
We would like to thank all the authors for their excellent contributions and the reviewers for their timely and constructive feedback. Special thank goes to the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Bartin University, for extending support and encouragement.Note de contenu : Summary :

Surface analytical techniques including microbiological culturing, scanning electron microscopy, microprobes and microelectrodes have been used to characterize metal surfaces after exposure to marine waters. A combination of electrochemical, surface analytical and microbiological techniques is the most promising approach for determining mechanisms of MIC. Note de contenu : Contents:
