This is basic course in engineering science and engineering materials for students in their first year of training in mechanical and electrical engineering. The text covers the subjects requirements of the city and guilds of london institute craft courses such as basic engineering trades subjects for students outside the united kingdom. It will also be useful for students on the first year of business and technician education council and other technician courses.
The treatment of forces, heat and friction, electricity, and the properties and uses of materials provides a strong link between theory and industrial practice, developed through the use of workshop applications. Each chapter contains nemerous worked examples and ends with a selection of graded exercices. |
