The Panel was established in acoordance with a decision of the NAM foreign ministers conference in New Delhi in april 1997, with a mandate to assess the current international economic situation from the perspective of developing countries and to indentify and anlyse major issues of concern to them and to assist in developing a positive agenda of the south . |
