Résumé : |
This is the first text book to present a comprehensive treatment of the recently emerged area which combines algebraic geometry and coding theory. It is written by two of thz leading mathematicians in this field.
Algebraic geometric codes open new, exciting possibilities in coding theory and related topics. However, these are rather difficult to study, due to their interdisciplinary nature. This book has been written both for coding theorists and for algebraic geometers. Starting from essentially first principles, the text leads the reader to the most recent published and unpublished results.
Moreover, problems and hints for their solutions are includes, as well as many open problems. |

Contents:
* Codes.
* Curves.
* AG-Codes.
* Modular Codes.
* Sphere Packings. |
