Résumé : |
While single-phase flow in pipes is reasonably well understood, designing pipelines for non-newtonian and multiphase flows is still a challenge. Models of varying degrees of complexity have been developed, and many thousands of publications have appeared; however, reliable predictions of pressure drop, flow pattern, and holdup are always possible. In this book, we attempt to present a unified approach to all types of complex flows in pipes. The discussion of various topics starts with the underlying fundamentals and concludes with recommended design methods. |
