Titre : Complex-Valued Neural Networks Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Hirose, Akira, Auteur Editeur : Berlin : Springer Année de publication : 2006 Collection : Studies in Computational Intelligence ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-540-33457-6 Note générale : Configuration requise : Adobe acrobat Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Engineering mathematics Engineering Artificial intelligence Circuits and Systems, Résumé : The author wrote this book hoping in particular that it provides the readers with meaningful hints to make good use of neural networks in fully practical applications. The book emphasizes basic ideas and ways of thinking. Why do we need to consider neural networks that deal with complex numbers? What advantages do the complex-valued neural networks have? What is the origin of the advantages? In what areas do they develop principal applications? This book answers these questions by describing details and examples, which will inspire the readers with new ideas. One hundred years later the impact of this talk is still strong: some problems have been solved, new problems have been added, but the direction once set -- identify the most important problems and focus on them

Titre : Adaptive and personalized semantic web Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Sirmakessis, Spiros, Auteur Editeur : Berlin : Springer Année de publication : 2006 Collection : Studies in Computational Intelligence ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-540-30605-4 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Personalization - Semantic Web - Text Mining and Knowledge Management - Theory and Applications - Web Intelligence - Web Mining Index. décimale : 681.51 Systemes de régulation automatique en général.caractéristiques techniques de la cybernétique Résumé : Web Personalization can be defined as any set of actions that can tailor the Web experience to a particular user or set of users. To achieve effective personalization, organizations must rely on all available data, including the usage and click-stream data (reflecting user behaviour), the site content, the site structure, domain knowledge, as well as user demographics and profiles. In addition, efficient and intelligent techniques are needed to mine this data for actionable knowledge, and to effectively use the discovered knowledge to enhance the users' Web experience. The aim of the International Workshop on Adaptive and Personalized Semantic Web that was held in the Sixteenth ACM Conference on Hypertext and Hypermedia (September 6-9, 2005, Salzburg, Austria) was to bring together researchers and practitioners in the fields of web engineering, adaptive hypermedia, semantic web technologies, knowledge management, information retrieval, user modelling, and other related disciplines which provide enabling technologies for personalization and adaptation on the World Wide Web. The book contains the papers presented during the workshop. Presentations of the papers are available online at www.hci.gr. Note de contenu : An Algorithmic Framework for Adaptive Web Content.- A Multi-Layered and Multi-Faceted Framework for Mining Evolving Web Clickstreams.- Model Cloning: A Push to Reuse or a Disaster?.- Behavioural patterns in hypermedia systems: A study of e-commerce vs. e-learning practices.- Adaptive Personal Information Environment based on Semantic Web.- A Multilayer Ontology Scheme for Integrated Searching in Distributed Hypermedia.- htmlButler - Wrapper Usability Enhancement through Ontology Sharing and Large Scale Cooperation.- A Methodology for Conducting Knowledge Discovery on the Semantic Web ISBN 13 : 978-3540306054 Adaptive and personalized semantic web [document électronique] / Sirmakessis, Spiros, Auteur . - Springer, 2006. - (Studies in Computational Intelligence) .
