The book includes recent research results in the area of adaptive nonlinear system identification and presents simple, concise, easy-to-understand methods for identifying nonlinear systems. These methods use adaptive filter algorithms that are well known for linear systems identification. They are applicable for nonlinear systems that can be efficiently modeled by polynomials.
After a brief introduction to nonlinear systems and to adaptive system identification, the author presents the discrete Volterra model approach. This is followed by an explanation of the Wiener model approach. Adaptive algorithms using both models are developed. The performance of the two methods are then compared to determine which model performs better for system identification applications.
Adaptive Nonlinear System Identification: The Volterra and Wiener Model Approaches is useful to graduates students, engineers and researchers in the areas of nonlinear systems, control, biomedical systems and in adaptive signal processing.Note de contenu : Table of contents

Tubes à électrons. photocellules. Accélérateur de particules. Tubes à rayons X Résumé : VLSI CAD has greatly benefited from the use of reduced ordered Binary Decision Diagrams (BDDs) and the clausal representation as a problem of "Boolean Satisfiability" (SAT), e.g. in logic synthesis, verification or design-for-testability. In recent practical applications, BDDs are optimized with respect to new objective functions for design space exploration. The latest trends show a growing number of proposals to fuse the concepts of BDD and SAT.

Tubes à électrons. photocellules. Accélérateur de particules. Tubes à rayons X Résumé : Whether you are a researcher, or practising engineer, or even non-familiar with power amplifiers student, it is a good idea to look into Advanced Design Techniques for RF Power Amplifiers.
Its main aim is to provide the reader with a deep analysis of theoretical aspects, modelling, and design strategies of RF high-efficiency power amplifiers. Advanced Design Techniques for RF Power Amplifiers begins with an analytical review of current state of the problem. Then it moves to the theoretical analysis of BJT class-F power amplifier near transition frequency and presents the necessary realization conditions. The next part concerns the practical verification and demonstration of the theoretical results. It is followed by the part devoted to the output networks of high-efficiency power ampifiers. The novel type of photonic band-gap structure providing improved characteristics both in the pass and stop bands is proposed. Finally, the fifth-harmonic peaking class F power amplifier design based on the above structure isAdvanced design techniques for RF power amplifiers [document électronique] / Rudiakova, Anna, Auteur ; Krizhanovski, Vladimir, Auteur . - Berlin ; London ; Cham : Springer, 2006. - (Engineering) .

Optical pattern recognitionIndex. décimale : 681.51 Systemes de régulation automatique en général.caractéristiques techniques de la cybernétique Résumé : The ability of fuzzy systems to provide shades of gray between "on or off" and "yes or no" is ideally suited to many of today’s complex industrial control systems. The static fuzzy systems usually discussed in this context fail to take account of inputs outside a pre-set range and their off-line nature makes tuning complicated.
Advanced Fuzzy Logic Technologies in Industrial Applications addresses the problem by introducing a dynamic, on-line fuzzy inference system. In this system membership functions and control rules are not determined until the system is applied and each output of its lookup table is calculated based on current inputs.
The tuning process is a major focus in this volume because it is the most difficult stage in fuzzy control application. Using new methods such as µ-law technique, histogram equalization and the Bezier-based method, all detailed here, the tuning process can be significantly simplified and control performance improved.
The other great strength of this book lies in the range and contemporaneity of its applications and examples which include: laser tracking and control; robot calibration; image processing and pattern recognition; medical engineering; audio systems; autonomous underwater vehicles and data mining.
Advanced Fuzzy Logic Technologies in Industrial Applications is written to be easily understood by readers not having specialized knowledge of fuzzy logic and intelligent control. Design and application engineers and project managers working in control, as well as researchers and graduate students in the discipline will find much to interest them in this work.Note de contenu : Engineering, Control Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (incl.
