| Résumé : |
This software package calculates air or waterborne effluent dispersion on the IBM PC or compatibles. The use of models for regulatory application is growing in the field of air pollution. For emissions from a single source, the plume rise and dispersion phases are often calculated using separate, and often incompatible, models. Many of these empirical models are also severely limited in the range of source and meteorological characteristics they are able to describe. The model PRISE calculates all the pages of the plume in one continuous formulation, taking into account the ambient meteorological conditions. The software is designed to be user-friendly and self-contained; prompts are given which require either a yes or no answer. |
