Résumé : |
The aim of this book is to explain these matters in non-mathématical terms. Full, detailed explanations are very complex and far beyon the scope of a book of this size, but it is the author's hope that this "distillation" of the current state of knowledge about the nature of solids will give the reader a valid sense of understanding this subject. This treatment is, necessarily, superficial, but not, it is hoped, misleading. There are many books that will enable the intersted reader to progress from this introductory survey to mor detailed, more rigorous and much more time-consuming study. |

- Conductors
- Semiconductors
- Magnetic properties
