It presents what is now known about the innovation and deployment of a whole variety of renewable energy technologies across the whole of Eastern Africa, including the Horn, and Southern Africa, including South Africa. Chapters deal with bio-energy, solar and wind energy, and small hydro technologies, and how these environmentally sustainable ways of producing energy are disseminated.
