This text is aimed at providing the practicing engineer and the engineering student with a practical yet detailed understanding of systems for converting solar energy initially into useful thermal energy and ultimately into power and colling.
The authors feel that most texts for this audience concentrate only on the components and their behavior and detailed design, but not on their interrelationshipe, or cost effectiveness as parts of a system. In the present book, therefore, we intend to present as well the economics znd behavior of a complete solar system, including the collector, storage, load, and controls. |
