The applications of control systels cover avery wide range, from the design of precision control dvices such as delicate instruments used for inertial guidance to the design of massive equipment such as that used for the manufacture of steel or other industrial processes. New applications for automayic controls are continuallt being discovered. This text is the outgrowth of notes developed by the author to teach control engineering at the university. The author has endeavored to give the principales a thorough presentation and yet make them clear and easy to understand. It is assumed that the reader has the general maturity and background of a third or fourth year engineering student, but no previous training in control engineering |
