Résumé : |
The publication of this sixth edition marks the twentieth anniversary of this text's first appearance in print. At that time, i hoped that this text would offer an improved way to teatch the "basics" of public administration that would be both exciting and challenging for students. Over the intervening two decades it has succeeded more than I could have imagined. I hope that readers of this sixth edition will find that this edition continues to meet their needs for a different and better way of introducing the field of public administration to both new students and "old hands". |

* The pattern of public adlinistration in america: its environment, structure, and people.
* The multiple functions of public administrators: their major activities, responsibilities, and roles.
* Enduring and undresolved relationship: contral value questions, issues, and dilemmas of contemporary public administration. |
