This edition of IP standards, Part 3, includes engine, and mechanical rig test methodes for performance assessement of lubricating oils and transmission fluids. The aim has been to publich in one volume libricating oil test methods which are of mechanical nature, and which have been deveped under the auspices of subcommitte F. For the time being mechanical test methods which are used to asses the performance of greases will continue to be publiched in IP standards, Parte 1. |
