In adition to the voluminous correspondence which was entailed, there have been numerous personal meetings in england and in the united states between membres of the two organizations which have resulted in identity of objectifves necessary to the joint publication of units of measure used by custom or statute, a conference was held in brussels in 1949 at which tewlve countries using the metrice system of measurement were officially represented . |
