The present edition of the German "Determinative Tables" was revised and updated to reflect the first English edition which appeared in 1979. Numerous additions have been made which were required as a consequence of practical work. On the whole, revision work primarily concentrated on improving completeness and reliability of information, on adapting to new units of measurement and on introducing standard terms in mineral systematics and other nomenclatures.
Of interest to: Mineralogists, petrographers, geologists, economic geologists, mining engineers, soil scientists, chemists, and their research institutes, the mining and ceramic industries, scientific libraries. |
