Since the last edition the use of metal spraying has increased all over the world, and an indication of this is given by the fact that the new forth read Bridge is being zinc sprayed. There have also been major developments sparying by electric arc and by plasma arc, the introduction of hasrd facing, and the flame desposition of ceramics and plastics. The inclusion of these has increased the scope, and necessity the size, of this volume. |
