| Résumé : | The basic course on dynamics of structures treats the material in part1 and in part 2 through the first sections of chap.14. It is expected that nearly alla masters-degree students in structual engineering should have at least this contact with the dynamics feild. The subsequent advanced structural dynamics cours treats the remainder of part 2 and all of part 3. In addition, much of the earthquake engineering material in chaps.26 and 27is presented in these first two courses to provide practical applications of the theory. The basic material of part 4 is covered in a signale-quarter course on random vibrations, together with some of the earthquake-engineering applications from chap. 28. Finally, the entire book serves as background and reference material for a course on structural design for dynamic load; the prerequisite for this design cours is the basic course on dynamics of structures. |
