| Résumé : |
This is a revised and expanded edition of an established text. New material has been added to help students perceive the applications of mathematics to the real problems which they will encounter as working engineers and scientists.
The revised text includes an introduction to boundary value problems, and reference lists of identities, laplace transform pairs ect. There is an increased emphasing on the applications of matrices, showing their relevances, for exemples, to simple electrical networks, the analysis of forces in structures, and dimensional analysis. The section on laplace transform has been completly rewritten to explain both the theory and some of the applications, and there is more detailled account of the change of variables in partial differentiation. |
