Résumé : |
The fact that most genetic principles cans be precisely expressed in mathematical terms is a rather unique fature among biological desciplines. the mathematics of elemntary genetics is not difficult, but genetics does require a degree of logic which some beginning students have not had the opportunity to develop. It is the purpose of this book to aid the beginner in the development of this faculty throught the presentation of numerous typical problems and their detailed solutions. While primarily intended as a supplement to any standard genetics textebook, the statements of theory and principle are sufficiently complete that it could be used as a text by itself. |
Note de contenu : |
Summary :
1. The physical basis of heredity.
2. Signale gene inheritance.
3. Tow or mor genes.
4. Genetic interaction.
5. The genetics of sex.
6. Linkage and chromosome mapping.
7. The binomial and chi-square distributions.
8. Cytogentics.
9. The chemical basic of heredity.
10. Genetics of microorganisms.
11. Quantitative genetics.
12. Population genetics.
12. Cytoplasmic factors. |
